Is being called a perfectionist bad or good?

My friend called me a perfectionist and is that good or bad? We are both in eight grade. Everyone came over to my project in art and was like omg that's so good. I was kind of bashful anyways my friend was like she's always perfect at everything she does, SO NOT TRUE!!! And then she said she's been a perfectionist since kindergarten. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to be offended by this comment or delighted. I was kind of offended and I started to defend myself. And was that rude or nice of her?!
