I need a list of a Soldier's gear and purposes.?

I'm doing a bible cl for kids and the topic is "The Armor of God". I'm doing it with U.S Soldiers and I need a list of what gear they wear and whats the purpose. Mostly interested in the helmet, gun or if you carry a knife,belt, bulletproof vest,combat boots, and if you guys use a shield.My husbands a Soldier but he's busy and I need the info a.s.a.p. Thx.
