How do I catch my escaped, untamed hamster?

Baby hamster of five weeks not yet tamed has escaped its temporary cage while I was cleaning the main one. It has yet to be tamed and is quite frightened of people (I also have a sister who insists on grabbing them). I set up a bucket with 'steps' and set up food with flagrance around and up the 'steps'. I've yet to get the little bugger and I'm not all too positive it's even in my room where it originally disappeared from. Any advice on how to catch it?
