Do you think hes facing jail time?

So basically my best friend made a retarded mistake yesterday and I am trying to figure out if hes likley to face jail time or not. Basically him and another kid broke into a building and used all the fire extinguishers and made a big mess in all the halls. Then they decided to make a fire in the parking lot, the fire got way out of hand so they broke back into the building only to realise there were no more fire extinguishers left. They were forced to call the fire department and were arrested on the spot. They were charged with 3rd degree burglary and criminal mischief. No arson charges. Do you think he will face jail time?
