Am i pregnant or late period?

me and my partner are trying for a baby, i worked out my period as yest but i never came on and also have had no period symptons as i usually get them for around 2 weeks, oly thing i have is achin . i did a test today and was negative, when should i do another? wev been tryin for 5 months now how long is average, we are both 22
